Why do I have to choose either “ship to door” or “pickup” as my shopping mode?

A small percentage our products are not able to be shipped. We have categorized them into Ship-To-Door items and Pickup items for everyone’s convenience.

How do I change my shopping mode?

Simply click the user icon in the upper right-hand corner of the website. The first section under “My Account” is labeled “Shopping Mode”. Click the button of the mode you’d like to shop in. If you choose “Pickup”, don’t forget to choose a Pickup Location* (which is located a few sections down from the Shopping Mode).

*Pickup locations are only located in Iowa and Illinois

How do I place an order for pickup?

We created this video tutorial to help navigate you through our new system. In this video, we go through the process of logging into your Wallace Farms account on wallacefarms.com, changing your shipping mode from “Ship to Door” to “Pickup”, choosing and setting a pickup location, shopping for an product one at a time, or multiples of a product at a time, and then checking out.

Do I have to register to place an order?

Nope! You can checkout without registering. When you checkout as a guest, you will be given two additional opportunities to create an account for a faster checkout next time.

What is the ‘No-Bull Shipping Promise’?

This means you pay exactly what it costs us to ship our products to you. There are no markups, no inflation, no fluff, no bull. This also means, we’re not making a nickel off of these charges.

When will my order be shipped?

We ship Monday–Wednesday every week and ship via FedEx Ground or Express service. Deliveries are expected to arrive within 24–48 hours from when we ship. You will receive a tracking number from FedEx after the order ships so you will know the estimated delivery date. Use the table to determine when your order will be shipped.

What if I can’t make the scheduled pickup date/time for the location I chose?

If you can’t make it out to the pickup location on the scheduled date/time, you can cancel your order or have it bumped to the next date scheduled for that pickup location. If you cancel your order, we ask that you cancel at least 24 hours prior to the pickup window. Contact us if you’d like your order changed to the next pickup date.

Can I schedule my delivery time?

No. We only are able to make drop-offs/deliveries during our scheduled dates and times.

Do you offer local delivery?

No. Choose our Ship-to-Door option and our products will be at your front door in a couple days.

Can you ship to a PO Box?

No. We can only to physical street addresses.

Do you ship to Alaska and Hawaii?

Unfortunately, we only ship to the 48 contiguous United States at this time.

Can I get updates over text about my orders?

Yes. At the bottom of the billing section (in the checkout process) there is an option that says “Please send me order updates via text message”. Check this box to receive text updates about your order.

Is your product available at any stores?

We are proud to say that Nick’s Sticks are available nationwide at select grocery stores and natural food stores. You can check for a store near you using this store finder. However, you won’t find our grass-fed beef or other naturally-raised meats anywhere but on our website.

Do you tax your items?

We are required to collect sales tax (at the rate for grocery-related items) in those states where we have a physical location – for example, in Illinois.  The state of Iowa does not currently collect sales tax on grocery-related items, so there is no tax in Iowa.

Why is my price different on my invoice from my confirmation screen?

Many of the weights provided on our website are approximated (due to the variable size of the cut). When we fulfill your order, we weigh and price the variable weight items. We then update the weights in our system for your order and generate the final invoice with the confirmed total.

What’s the advantage of Grass-Fed Beef and other naturally raised meats?

Ruminant animals are naturally built to eat grass and forages. The fat from cattle and lamb in this environment are loaded with CLA and Omega 3’s. Commodity beef and lamb are raised in a feedlot with corn and other grains that harm the ruminant animal and therefore create unhealthy levels of Omega 6 and the CLA is greatly diminished.

Can I order a whole animal?

We sell whole chickens and turkeys, however, we do not sell any other whole animals. If you are interested in animal organs, we sell a variety of these cuts on our website. You can find them under “Miscellaneous” in most categories.

Are your items cooked or raw?

It varies. A majority of our meat cuts are raw, while some of our processed items come pre-cooked.

Will my items still be frozen by the time I have them delivered?

Yes.  We utilize dry ice and a container system that allows all of our products to stay completely frozen during shipment and until they reach your address.
